Clubrooms is located on the lower floor of the ‘Airport Lounges’ section of Gatwick Airport’s North Terminal and is positioned as the premium option of those offered.
Arriving at the lounge, we were met by a friendly member of staff who showed us to a seat and looked after us while we were there.
The decor was elegant and contemporary, whereas nearby lounges, No1 and My Lounge, can be described as having more casual interiors.
The service from the staff at Clubrooms was attentive, efficient and exactly what you’d expect from a 5-star lounge.
We were presented with a breakfast menu and complimentary champagne. The menu was filled with delicious options, from which I chose the Full English breakfast. This gave me the perfect start to a long day’s travelling.
A selection of pastries and a fridge packed with soft drinks was on hand if you fancied a little extra refreshment. As the morning went on, the pastries were swapped for a range of tasty cakes.
The lunch menu was given out at around midday and this offered another selection of mouth-watering dishes.
Alongside the lunchtime options, there were various cocktails, coffees/teas, wines and beers on offer.
We spent approximately two hours at Clubrooms and the entire experience was relaxed, stress-free and successfully put us at ease ahead of our trip.
One thing I would recommend that clubrooms consider, is having USB charging points installed. This would be a more convenient option when customers need to charge a phone or tablet.
Overall, I would recommend Clubrooms for any travellers willing to pay that little bit more to start their trip with sophistication and luxury.
